Here’s our great new 2012 menu now available for you to help you choose your Farmer’s Boy meal when you come to dine with us.

All our food on our main menu is home produced and cooked to order and , as you are aware, this does take time! At busy periods there may be a short delay.

Starters

  • Yorkshire pudding, red wine onion gravy and a small pot of homemade piccalilli – £5
  • “Tom Yum Gai” hot and sour chicken and prawn soup flavoured with galangal, lemon grass and fresh coriander  – £6
  • Soup of the day – £5
  • FB smoked haddock and leek risotto topped with black pudding, chorizo sausage and queen scallops – £9
  • Crispy belly pork served on buttery mash with sweet onion and Scrumpy sauce – £9
  • Mackerel and squid spring roll served with Asian salad and Mirin dipping sauce- £9
  • Local duck and pork rillette served with cornichon and homemade sour dough bread – £8
  • Wild and field mushrooms on toast  with tarragon cream, topped with rocket and parmesan salad and dressed with truffle oil – £8
  • FB smoked salmon  with local scrambled egg, lemon oil, on a warm potato scone – £10

Mains

  • FB meat and potato pie, cooked in black sheep ale, under a short crust lid, ham hock mushy peas, pickled red cabbage and HP sauce – £16
  • Pan roast salmon fillet  with spiced brown shrimps on baby spinach, dressed with tomato and fine herbs – £17
  • Char grilled sirloin steak, field mushroom, grilled tomato and black sticks blue “Bon Bon” served with hand cut chips – £20
  • Beer battered haddock with ham hock mushy peas, tartare sauce and hand cut chips £17
